The Mystery Camera in Downtown GreenvillePosted on June 5th, 2009 @ 7:14 pm
Last month as a part of the 25/30 we put a disposable camera in downtown Greenville with a simple note that said, “Take a picture, but leave our camera.” We told people to check this blog for the pics and now finally… here they are! Thanks to everyone who took a picture without stealing our camera!

Surprise! We Got Punked.Posted on May 10th, 2009 @ 10:32 am
When my friend JJ called up and said he wanted to throw Tim a surprise b’day party this weekend I thought it was a super sweet gesture. Little did I know they told Tim that they were throwing a surprise b’day party forĀ me! We both showed up to our favorite restaurant thinking the other one had no idea. We were punked. But it was a great time.

The Whole Gang at Lazy Goat
This card was a somewhat painful reminder that in five days the page is turning…

This is what I think of Thirty
After dinner we went to Marco and Michelle’s for cake and LOTS of candles. they didn’t stop at 55 (25+30=55) they went all the way to 80 candles!

The House Heated Up a Few Degrees
And somehow my husband blew out 76 of them before I could even fill m lungs with oxygen. I guess that’s because he’s only 25 and I’m (soon-to-be) 30.

What the Heck Happened?
It was a great night, despite being punked. Don’t we have sweet friends??

Nug Fest ‘09Posted on May 6th, 2009 @ 4:19 pm
It was very important to my husband that at some point throughout the 25/30 he got to participate in what he calls Nug Fest ‘09. Every Tuesday for a few months our local Chik-Fil-A has all-you-can-eat nuggets/fries/soda on Tuesday nights from 5-8. So last night we went with a couple friends to see what kind of damage my husband could do.

This Sign Lets Everyone Know You Mean Business
His goal was to down 55 nuggets in honor of the 25/30. (25+30=55)
But I’m proud to say he stopped at 39. I still think that’s a good number. We asked the waitress what the record was. Ready for this? 118!

Plans Change, the 25/30 Goes OnPosted on April 22nd, 2009 @ 11:38 am
I should have been in Ireland. I should have gone hiking on the coast, eaten yummy fish and chips, and seen my family. But that didn’t happen. Instead we played video games with our friend Curtis in Atlanta, blew some money at Bloomingdales and worked in the yard. Plans change, and that’s OK.
Ireland is looking less and less like it’s actually going to happen. We are flying on buddy passes with the help of our flight attendent neighbor and the flight we were supposed to be on was too full. We thought we might try again this weekend, but again the flights look extremely full.
So rather than spending part of the 25/30 in Ireland, we’ve been spending it in our yard. We’re re-sodding, digging and planting. The thing is, we’ve really enjoyed it. We’re watching it transform from a nasty eyesore into a beautiful, green retreat– kind of like our little piece of Ireland.

Tim Turns 25!!Posted on April 14th, 2009 @ 3:33 pm
Easter marked Tim’s 25th birthday. I had some big surprises planned for him. He woke up to discover he had an Easter egg hunt awaiting him.

He Found the First Clue in His Easter Basket
Each egg included a clue, a little present, and a puzzle piece that would reveal the ultimate present at the end of the hunt.

Reading more clues
Some of the eggs were hard to find (like the one I stashed in a box of Tide detergent. Others were much easier (like the one his dad hid.)

Hmm... Wonder Where the Egg is?
Finally at the end he put the puzzle together and found out he was going to Ireland!

That's Ireland-- Not Iceland!
And after all that we enjoyed some yummy bunny cake. Yes, he was turning 25, but I don’t think you’re ever too old for a bunny cake.
